I accidentally deleted a comment someone had left on my blog and I apologize to that person. The system gives a link in an email they send me but the approve or delete options are on the same line of text. So I accidentally clicked on the “delete” part of that line of text.

The reader was asking how to get more visitors to his/her blog. There are many ways to achieve that.

You can start by updating your blog on a regular basis. I do not update this one here very often, but I have a One-Shoe-Off blog page that is being updated a few times each month. Adding new material to your blog gives visitors a better incentive to come back to your page, especially if you add photos frequently.

You should also go read other people’s blogs that share your interest. Leave a comment on their pages and make sure you give the URL to your own blog page in that comment.

It is also nice to have links pointing to your blog from websites that focus on your niche of interest. Approach webmasters politely and ask if they’d be interested in sharing links to your blog in exchange for a link back to their website. Text links are OK, you don’t need to place banners in your blog page.

You can also publicize your blog by talking to other people who share your interests in whatever your blog is all about. Participate on forums, but watch out not to SPAM them. Read their rules first! Too much promoting is as bad as not enough promoting.
